My name is Carrie Wilson Link, and I am a wife, mother and Reiki Master Teacher. I have worked for Nike, taught grades K-8, written a book and am a full-time care-giver to an amazing human with special-needs. My windy path has led me to Reiki. They say you don’t find Reiki, Reiki finds you. I believe this is true. I am eager to share Reiki with you.

What is Reiki?

Reiki (pronounced ray-key) is a Japanese form of energy healing, which came to the United States in the 1800’s. Hands are either laid lightly on a person, or hover just above. It is believed that when one has been attuned to Reiki, they then have the ability to bring in energy from the Universe/God/Source (whatever you feel most comfortable calling it). Reiki is intelligent, and goes where (and at what speed) it needs to go, to help your body, mind and spirit heal. Reiki can do no harm, and is deeply relaxing.

What Reiki Does

  • Strengthens the immune system

  • Reduces stress

  • Improves sleep

  • Reduces pain

  • Aids in the recovery process of any illness or surgery

  • Reduces side-effects of medications

  • Improves mental clarity

  • Increases general sense of well-being

  • Helps to heal emotional wounds and grief

  • Strengthens spiritual development

What to Expect:

You will lie, face up, fully-dressed, on a massage table, with a blanket over you.

I will ask you if you have any particular area(s) you’d like me to focus on. This could be physical or emotional (or both).

Through either light touch or hovering, I will move my hands over you, helping your body’s own ability to clear and balance your energy centers (chakras).

Reiki is deeply relaxing and very pleasant—nothing to worry about! You may fall asleep, or experience the liminal space, that lovely state between wake and sleep.

FAQs

Do you take insurance?

No, I’m sorry, I cannot accept insurance.

Can I still see my doctor and other practitioners?

Yes, Reiki is complimentary to other forms of healing.

Is Reiki religious?

No, it is spiritual in nature, but is not religious, and people of all faiths and non-faiths, are welcome.

What type of Reiki do you practice?

I practice Usui Reiki.

What is your confidentiality policy?

Everything you experience in your Reiki session, is kept confidential. I will only share with you what I “pick up” if you ask. You’re in charge.

What if I cry, or do something embarrassing?

Crying is not uncommon and we continue the session without discussion. If tears come, that is your body’s way of releasing something that’s been blocked, and I take it as a good sign. “Embarrassing” things could include stomach growling, legs or arms twitching. Again, these are positive signs that your body, and the intelligence of Reiki, are working together to release energy that needs releasing.

Special Notes

  • At this point in my practice, I am only seeing women.

  • If you wear hearing aids, I will ask you to turn them off, or remove them.

  • Please let me know if you have a pace-maker. We can do a full Reiki session, but it’s something I like to be aware of, and I will avoid that area, as not to interfere with the energy of the pace-maker.
